Poraeroy, . Nov. 10. S. O. Cosgrove
continues to Improve today. , It la ex
pected that arrangements will be
made aoon to take the governo'r-eleqt
to San Francisco for the winter, though
no definite action has been taken yet.
Governor Mead arrived here yesterday
and held a four hours' interview with
Mr. Cosgrove last night. The gover
nor will remain here untir tomorrow.

Conductor W. H. Kelsay of the Port
land-Pendleton passenger run, was
forced to give up his work for a few
days on account of a alight stroke of
laralyBl8. Mr. Kelsay is one of the
oldest conductors on the line. He Is
at present at his ' home on South
Thompson atreet. Pendleton Tribune
