opening address to the Jury, stated
that he expected to prove that de
fendant had a barrel of liquor at' his
place near the Hall farm, from which
he made a practice of selling liquor to
persons wishing to purchase and the
usual price was one dollar per bottle.
He . also stated that he expected to
prove aa a specific charge that on thm
29th dqy of June last, he sold a bottle
of intoxicating liquor to R. E., Jef
files, for which the defendant received
. Attorney Baker, for the defense,
stated In his remarks" to the Jury tnat
the district attomeyr--he believed,
would have trouble In sustaining the
charges, and that he hoped to prove
that his client had transgressed no
