The annual eye and car inspection
which the O. R. & N. gives all Its em
ployes, will take place in La Grande
early this week. The inspection car,
carrying high officials, and eye and
ear specialists left Portland this morn
ing and will hurry to La Grande,
reaching here tomorrow, according to
advance notices. This' inspection is an
important phase of the annual inspec
tions. The employes are given a thor
ough inspection as to : strength and
soundness of those two senses which
play important parts in the Intricate
; machinery of railroad service. On ac
count of the fact that so many em
ployes are located here and many of
them will be out on the road tomor
row, the car will likely remain in the
city for two or three days. There are
but few stations between here and
Portland that will demand as much
time as La Grande.

Comic Opera of High Class.
Surprises at the lightning-like
changes of stage settings, and true
humor by a set of high-class come
dians, won favor in La Grande last
Saturday night for "The Cat and the
Fiddle" company which played to the
first full house of, the season at the
Steward. The comic opera is cram
med full of laughs from start to fin
ish. The dlrectoire gown, too, made
its first appearance in La Grande by
reason of the appearance of the opera.

INTERESTING FACTS.
The B. 31. Hyde Drag Co. Offer to Cure
Catarrh The Medicine Costa
Nothing if They Fall.
When a medicine effects a cure in
98 per cent of cases, and when we of
fer that medicine on our own personal
guarantee that It will cost the user
nothing If It does not cure catarrh. It
is only reasonable tnat people should
believe us, or at least put our claim to
a practical test when we take all the
risk. These are facts which we want
the people -of Rochester to substan
tiate. We want them to try Rexall
Mucu-Tone, a medicine prepared from
a prescription of a physician whose
specialty was catarrh, and who has a
record of 30 years of cures to hlH cred
It. We sell more bottles and receive
more good reports about Rexall Mucu
Tone than we do of all other catarrh
remedies sold In our store, and If more
people only knew what a thoroughly
dependable remedy Rexall Mucu-Tone
Is, it would be tho only catarrh med
lclne wi would have any demand for,
Rexall Mucu-Tone Is quickly ab-
srbed end carried by the blod until it
thoroughly disinfects and cleanses the
entire mucous membranous tracts, de
stroys and removes the parasites which
Injure and destroy the membranous
tissues, soothes and heals the irrita
tion and soreness, ttops the mucous
discharge, and builds up strong, hcal-
thy tissues, relieves the blood and sys
tem of diseased matter, stimulates the
muco-cells, aids digestion and im
proves nutrition until the whole body
vibrates with health yactlvlty. In a
comparatively short time there is a
most noticeable gain in weight,
strength, good color and feeling of
buoyancy. s
.We urge you to try Mucu-Tone, be
ginning a treatment today. At any
time you are not eatlflfied, simply
come and tells us, "and we will quickly
return your money without question
or quibble. We have Rexall Mucu
Tone in two Bizes, 50c and $1-00. a. T.
