Xew Bridges Needed. '
Any one who has. been up the
Grande Ronde river recently, knows
the precarious condition of the rattle
trap structures that span the river in
two instances. Just, below Perry-
It Is absolutely necessary that new
bridges be constructed in4, these two
instances, and to v: reconstruct them

outlay of 13000 for each bridge, at

Yesterday afternoon County Judge
Henry and Bridge Superintendent
Campbell visited the region. The
county road follows the river on the
north .bank until it reaches the first
of the twin bridges. It then crosses
to the south side and for a distance
of a quarter mile runs on that side,
only to recross to the north side at
Perry- Here' It Is that the county
court and commissioners plan to save

the river twice,. the river Itself will be

river. Everything is. favorable for
this scheme and preliminary estimates
made as to the cost, place the figures

Throw from the rocky cliff and the
old bridges can be used as bulkheads,
and. In fact, natural conditions are
such that a perpetual road, free from
spring washouts, can be constructed
at the cost named. As soon as Com
missioner Ben Brown and Commis
sioner J. M. St-ldtr can be brought
Into communication with the court,
the matter will be given final action.

THE CURE FOR
SCROFULA
Swollen glands about the neck, weak eves, pale, waxy complexions,
running sores and .ulcers, skin diseases, and general poor health, are the
usual ways in which Scrofula is manifested. The disease beiojj deeply
intrenched in thebliod often attacks the bones, resulting in White Swelling,
or hip disease, and the Bcrofulous and tubercular matter so thoroughly
destroys the healthful properties of the. blood that Scrofula sometimes
terminates in consumption, an incurable disease. The entire circulation
being contaminated, the only way to cure the trouble is to thoroughly
ourify the blood and restore the circulation to a strong, healthy state
3. S. S. is the very best treatment for Scrofula : it renovates the entire
blood supply and drives out the scrofulous and tubercular deposits. S. S. S.
is the greatest of all blood purifiers, and it not only goes right down ti the
very bottom of the trouble and removes the cause, but it supplies the weak
liseased blood wtth the healthful properties it is in need of, and in this way
milds up weak, frail, scrofulous persons and makes them strong and healthy
S. S. is a gentle, safe, vegetable preparation and is suited for persons of
iny age. link on the blood containing information about Scrofula and any
