y At the Sherwood.
The program at the Sherwood seems
to have been arranged expressly for
these warm evenings. ' The light and
cheerful pictures, combined with the
numerous electric fans and the splen
did system of ventilation, all tend to
make one forget that the weather

enough of tho surprising to cause the
audience to wonder what U coming

The songs are pleasing and give am

BRILLIANT AURORA HOHEAUS.
Vol them Skies Ushtcd Brilliantly for

One of the prettiest spectacles the
northern heavens have presented In a
long time, was witnessed by many In
La Grande last night For the period
of an hour or more, early in the night,
the entire skies were lighted up by
an aurora borealls that Clashed and
glinted in varied hues-from one side
of the horizon to the other. It was
really a beautiful spectacle. An aurora
borealls Is seldom seen in this state,
and the one last evening was undoubt
edly the most remarkable of Che nat
