One of the pleasant social events of
the week occurred , yesterday ' . after
noon at the home ot Mrs. John Thel
son, when Mrs. DeLlle Green, Mrs.
Otto Didion and Mrs. Thelson' enter
tained 48 ladles at 500. . ,

tonight, offers the public an excep
tionally strong bill. The Robbery of
the' Citizen's r Bank drew the largest
crowd in the Crystal theater ever had
at Cleveland, Ohio, last week. - "When
Ruben Comes to Town."" This Is far
mer Green's holiday, dressed . In his
store clothes, off to town. His wife
primps htm and warns him against
bunco 'men. Receives a royal welcome
by the landlord when he arrives In
the metropolis. At midnight a giant
bedbug takes a nip at Ruben. Ruben
cries murder, knocks his assailant out,
and back to bed.- ' Revenge; bedbugs
assemble from everywhere In military
order, charging the bed, dragging Ru
ben and the bed clothes to the floor.
Ruben takes refuge In an old trunk.
No rest for the weary; burglars take
his watch - and wallet and '. trunk In
which Ruben is asleep.
"The Aeroplane." This film shows
clearly and in detail the exhibition of
Henry Farman and his aeroplane; the
perfect handling of the machine by
the French aviator. Also a close view
of the mechanical arrangement.
The doors will open at 7 o'clock and
show will start promptly at 7:15. This
Is without lexceptlon one of the strong
est moving picture shows ever-ln La

STILL INTACT
The' Observer has been requested to
orrect the statement made in this
paper last evening and appearing In
the Star this morning, of the complete
destruction of the Roy Oliver thresh
ing machine., The Informant, over the
telephone was inlHunderstood, and The
ibserver takes pleasure in rectifying
Its error. There was a . heavy , Joss,
though, notwithstanding the Imperfect
information. . The three stacks from
hlch the , machine was threshing,
were completely destroyed. The ma
chine Itself was pulled away from the
Durnlng stacks In time to avoid serious
damage.. .The grain In tho stack, and
a .considerable amount In sacks was
a complete loss. A small wagon stand
ing, near with a "Jag" of wheat In
sacks, was also Included In the loss.
The machine was on the Williams
ranch at. the time of the fire. The
owner of the grain cannot be com
municated with, hence It Is Impossible
to ascertain the amount of the loss.
