gressman J. J. Jenkins of Chippewa
Falls, chairman of the Judiciary com
mittee of the house of representatives,
was defeated for renomlnation by Ir
vine Lenroot, former speaker of the
state assembly. Returns , confirm

ator Stephenson received the endorse
ment' of the republican party for Ire-
election over three opponents.-
Governor Davidson received the
nomination for re-election.
Jenkins has served In the house of
representatives for practically 16 years
and has gained much prominence as
a solon. Lenroot has been Identified
with the antl-LaFollette machine for
the past four years.. Stephenson Is a
La Follette leader, and Davidson was
lieutenant governor to Robert' M, La
Follette before the latter was elected
United States senator.
