be a warm session of the Eagles con
vention meeting here, before the much
mooted question of organising state
aeries Is settled. This morning, afti-r
the reports of the grand worthy pres
ident, Theodore A. Bell, and the grand
trustees, had received a special com
mlttee appointed to report on the state
organisation, asked for more time.
Tor an hour the delegates discussed
the question. The question comes up
again tomorrow. This afternoon the
delegates and their ladles were guests
at the Meadow race track.

Ischl, Austria, Aug. 12. King Ed
ward entered the city today through
lines of beautiful women strewing
flower In his path. Emperor Frani
Joseph groeted the king at the rail
road station.
It la known that the king and em
peror discussed the conditions In Tur
key. No public statement was made
concerning the conference. The royal
visitor was a guest of the emperor at
luncheon at the Imperial villa. He
then took a long drive. Tonight a
chorus composed of 6000 men will
serenade the king while he la dining.
