Look out for your horses, the ele
phants are comlngl Next Tuesday Is
the great day, but it's moving much
too slowly this way to suit the school
boy and perhaps his parents, if the
truth were told.
But, seriously speaking, the coming
of the Barnum ft Bailey show Is await
ed with much more Interest than the
coming of a circus to La Grande has
aroused In the past. This Is largely
due to the reviving of the street pa
rade feture as well as the remarkable
foreign aspect of this season's per
formance. The names of the artists
are new except to those who are post
ed on European amusement affairs.
In foreign cities they stand for the best
there Is In the business.
Viewed at a glance the list of artists
Indicates a novel line ot entertain
ment. The performance 1 so differ

like anything else offered In the past
It will be presented here Just as it was
given at the Madison Square Garden
In New Tork, where It was declared
the best In the world. There will be
two performances here. The parade
I set for 10 o'clock and the down
town ticket office will be located at

where reserved seats and admissions
may be secured at the same prices
charged at the regular ticket wagons.
