Atiornojs Find Flaws in Tentative City
t'hnru to Jlwoinmend Cliange.
Several minor changes are slated to
take place In the tentative city charter.
City Attorney 4. F. Baker, aided by
Attorney C. H. Finn, have gone over
the charter as it was reported to the
council at the special meeting last
Week, and they found - things which
need to be stricken out. . The princi
pal ones are those sections dealing
with collection of taxes and the quali
fications of voters. . All changes made
will reduce the size of the charter as
It wilt finally be accepted by the coun
cil. ' These changes will , be .recom
mended to the council at Its rceular
meeting tonight. .
The delay occasioned by these rec
ommendations will be trifllna. It Is
likely that an adjourned meeting will
be held early next week and at that
time the city attorney will have the
passage. In that event it will be pos
sible to hold the special election this
month. " ' ' ' "
. Few special features, outside of the
routine, are scheduled for tonight's
meeting. An amendment to the cow
ordinance la one thing which will be
given considerable attention.
