was expected that Brother Mulligan
would return to the Oregon conference
and take work In that conference this
fall, but he Is so wed 1 pleased with
the outlook In the Columbia River
conference that It Is his purpose' now

About a New Bridge. ,
County Commissioner Selder was In
the city Thursday, conferring with the
city authorities In the matter of build
ing a new brtidge over Catherine
creek on Main street. In the city of
Union. Mr. Selder stated that the
county would stand half the expense
of putting In a new bridge If the city
would stand the other half. The es
timated cost of putting In the right
sort of a bridge for this place is $5,
000. The city authorities are consid
ering the matter. Union Republican.
Central Bible School
All members of Central Bible school
are asked to be present at :4S a. m.
tomorrow. The picnic which was
postponed because of rain will be
given the coming week. Definite an
nouncements tomorrow.

advertisement of the Red Cross drug

Fourth Committee Will Meet.
The Fourth of' July committee,
