nend, the general plan of making
near beer Is very simple. The substi
tute beer Is a product of - real beer.
When real beer Is made It Is boiled,
or pasteurized, until practically all
the alchohol Is used up. That, In the
rough Is the whole plan of near beer
manufacture.
Local soft drink emporiums will in
many Instances soon bo dealing In
near beer and mere ts no'reason why
the product should not be bought from
local dealers rather than from Walla
Walla or Portland manufacturers. The
process of making near beer requires
more effort, hence a larger payroll
