There has been a shifting of cogs

With one exception, all county offi
cers elected at the June election pre
sented their bonds to the county court
which had met for the purpose of
acting upon them, took oath of of
fice and were duly installed to their
new departments. In the sherm s ol
flce, the treasurer's office and In the
assessor's office there was no change,
doe to re-election and the fact that
the assessor does not take his duties

Judge Crawford haa atepped down
from the circuit court bench, and J.
W. Knowlea Is now seated thereon.
Sheriff Chllders presented a new bond
and took a new oath before County
Clerk Ed Wright, who had first taken
his oath of office before retiring
County Clerk Gllhatn, and as soon as
hla bonds weer accepted, administered
the oath of office to County Commis
sioner J. M. Selder, County Recorder
Ira R. Snook, Treasurer John Fraw
ley. Surveyor Curtiss, Coroner J. R.
Monk.
The county court has accepted all
the bonds given by the different of
fices, which are:
Clerk, 110.000; recorder. $3000; sur
veyor, $5000; treasurer, $20,000; su
perintendent of schools, loiiO; coroner
$3000; sheriff $20,000. E. E, Bragg
does not assume his term at tills time.

In the sheriffs office there is no
change In the deputyshlps. In the
county celrk's office the nam,- three
men remain except that former Clerk
Gtlham Is now deputy and Deputy Kd
Wright Is clerk. Claire Scriber con
tinues as a deputy under the tii'n
clerk. In the recorder's office Harvey
M. Bay Is the new deputy under Re
corder Snook.
