Can an Impure fountain send forth pure water?
Our ice is not depondent upon a brewery or saloon for Its supply.
It Is furnished by the God of Nature, Who sends forth the sparkling streams
from the mountain side. ' It Is taken from the river above the duck ponds
anuWmllls, and Is the PUREST ICE on THIS MARKET.

WHO Will
BE DEPUTIES
As the time appronchoa for the
present incumbents of county offices
to leave and make room , for thc-lr
successors, and for the ro-elected to
commence a new term, rumors and
anticipation Is rife over the matter of
deputies. The only places where there
Is liable to be a change In deputy-
ships at this time,' is In the county
recorder and country eclrk's office.
The present Incumbents of the assess
or's office remain on duty until the
first of the year. Sheriff Chllders was
re-elected and it Is only natural that
the same deputies will be retained
there. As none of the officials-elect,
or those re-elected are willing to com
mit themselves now, It Is hard to as
certain, "who's who." The matter
