. once a year. v ' ''.
And to all of the family Its memory
Is dear; :
In bright,' sunny June, when ' the
- world's at her best,
Tls then they all gather and take a
week's rest
And 'tis not only rest, but 'tis pleasure
as well,
As we , sit 'round the campflres, and
long stories toll.
We toll of the happenings of the
sweet days of yore.
And of other dear loved ones who are
with us no more. '
But though they are gone with their
sweet words of cheer, ,
We know they are happy, so we don't
wish them here. .
Then let all "be Jolly, and have a good
time,
So we really can say, "The Reunion's
sublime."
"Uncle" Jim seems so happy, , and his
smile Is so dear, '
That he makes us all feel that It's good
to be here.
Aunt Sarah smiles on the ambitious
and lazy;
With all this noise I'd think she'd be
v crazy.
Our dear Uncle Lew from North
Taklma came,
And his hearty hand-shake makes us
- glad Just the same.
There- Is Aunt Sarah Crum, so young
and so fair.
If troubles she's had, they've left no
trace there.
And dear Uncle Henry, with his smile
and his grace
He's always the right man, and In the
right place. ' '
And there's Cousin Trnl, V'ho's hungry
today.
But that's nothing r.cr- Vx always
that way. .
And there's Coutiln Jennie, wlio super
Intends all; ,
She slips 'round so easy, and makes no
loud call.
She Just looks so pleasant and stately
today,
And manages all in a capital way.
And to all the . other Aunties and
Uncles who are here,
We will say, we have" a corner In our
heart for them so dear.
So, three cheers for this Ra.inlon,
and, when, the time shall come
next (j'f ar,
May there be no vacant places, but
when roll's called, answer,
"llurc!" -
And when the Reunions nro over
below,
And each In his own way must silently
go. j
May each be In happiness, ktndnesN
and love, !
'Till we all meet In one grand Reunion
above. '
