Though Walla Walla won yesterday
she was not able to crawl up a peg for
the reason that Pendleton, the second
place team also took a game yesterday
from Baker City by a score of S to 2.
Pendleton fans have seen two good
games In succession and are rapidly
being Imbued with real fan fever.
After a rest of a few days here, the
Babes go to Walla Walla Friday morn
Ing to again join the' Walla Wallans
who left for their home last evening.
The series with the Washington town
opens on Saturday and continues for
four games.' When La Grande gets
there, It is more than likely that It
will face a rejuvenated team, for a
general shaking up was predicted by
Manager Rogers before he left The
series here has given blm a broadside
view of the weak spots In his aggre
gation. Pendleton closes with Baker City
this afternoon. Following the closing
there, both teams go to Baker City for
a series of four games.
By the way. The Observer can be
relied upon to furnish "correct" stand
