Freight and . passenger traffic l
very heavy through La Orande this
week. This Is due to two conditions:
the flood-stricken district of Mon
tana and the natural Increase in bus
iness over the O. R. & N. Passenger
train No. 6, due from the west In the
morning, has arrived In two sections
the past two days. The first of these
Invariably carry mail and passengers,
and the last, express, baggage and the
special fruit shipments. The train
this morning had several cars of straw
berries from Hood River and the
Walla Walla valley district, for points
In the east.
This was not all the speclsl trains.
A pink train of the Northern Pacific,
carrying bananas, passed through the
city last night. In addition to that
there were two sections of the. Bells
Floto circus, which passed through
here en route to Butte.
The drain on the engine supply has
been great and stall after stall at the
round house Is empty today. The
number of trains arriving and depart
ing numbers about 22 dally during the
present rush.

Eastlack, Pusan Eastlack, his wife,
Alohxo Crane and Ethel Crane, his

you are: hereby required to appear
and answer the compliant filed against
you In the above entitled court and
cause, on or before the 12th day of
June, 1908, that being six full weeks

judgment against you for the relief

will result to the said defendants,

son of the taking an appropriation of
kaid property by the plaintiff, and
upon the payment by the plaintiff of
the damages assessed and awarded on
the trial of the said cause the plaintiff
take a judgment appropriation all of
eald property upon which to construct,
build, equip, operate and maintain
additional side tracks, switching facil
ities and repair shops within the town
of La Orande.
This summons la published for six
consecutive weeke by the order of the
Hon. T. H. Crawford, Judge of the
above entitled court, made on the
34th day of April. 108; the date of
the first publication thereof being on
the 1st day of May, 1108, and the 12th
day of June, 1908, la to be the date
of the last publication thereof.
