As proof of the fact that Walla
Walla baseball fans' will be presented
with first-class exhibitions of the na
tional game this summer, the commit
tee appointed Monday night to raise
funds for the support of a league
team In Walla Walla, report that $507
was raised by them Tuesday In about
two hours. This 1 more than half o
the amount needed for the support of
the team, and the committee is out
today securing the balance.

Dacres has been appointed treasurer
of the local league. Tickets were to
day sent to the players signed up, and
they are expected to arrive In Walla

first game will be played Sunday with
Pendleton.
