Pendleton to Be Big Place.
In speaking before the "mass meet
ing at Pendleton Thursday evening,
Dr-Withycombe, of the Oregon Agri
cultural college, said: "I have said
that Pendleton might reach a popu
lation of 50,000, but I will go better
than that and say that If this entire
section, wheat land and irrigated tracts
are settled with the number of people
the land will sustain, this city should
have a population of 100,000 people.'
The foregoing statement was put for
ward In the effort to Induce the big
wheat farmers to sub-divide their
large holdings, and allow of more In
tensified farming.
Better Than Spanking.
Spanking does not cure children of
bed-wetting. There is a constitution
al cause for this trouble. Mrs. M.
Summers, Box W, Notre Dame, Ind.,
will send free to any mother her sue
cessful instructions. Send no money,
but write her today if your children
trouble in this way. Don't blame
the child, the chances are it can't
help It. This treatment also euros
adults and aged people troubled with
urine difficulties by day or night.

means that Nippon will continue the
policy of military and naval expansion
which has marked the last few years.
