The tests made at the North Dakota experiment sta tion have given good results In kill ing these pests by spraying. It re quires perslBtent work, but if a lawn is sprayed once each month, or once In six weeks, the dandelion Is kept completely In check. As seeds are blown to great distances by the wind, the destruction of the established root docs not Insure future freedom from the pest, but spraying' is -the easiest nnd most effective method of keep ing the dandelions down, which has yet been found. Use Iron sulphate In the proportion of two pounds for each gallon of water. Do not spray within two days of the time of cutting an ilo not cut the grass or water the lawr for two or three days after spraying. Condemn DlnframiilMiiu'itt. Macon, Ga., May 13.
