As ' noon as Water Superintendent Oilman returns from Pendleton, where he went this morning to acquaint him self with several details pertaining to the operation of the new pumping plant recently. Installed by the city of La Grande, the plant will be started and the water supply of La Grande will be maintained through, a much Improved and more economical sys tem. The new motor and pump was run light yesterday afternoon and proved very satisfactory. However, the pressure Is so great that the su perintendent believes a relief valve will be necessary. While running light yesterday afternoon, the big 125' horse power motor operated perfect ly. The new pump which has a ca pacity of 1400 gallons of water pei minute, was also highly satisfactory In the light run. Family Reunion in June.
