' A Washington dispatch says:
The constitutional lawyer of the
senate are preparing to have their
fling. Argument about the "plans
of the father," and states rights will
be worked over time when that body
come to take the measure from the
Judiciary committee Intending to re
strict the traffic of Intoxicating liquors
between "wet" and "dry" states. .
When the various bill on this sub
Ject were being considered by the
committee there were almost a many
different view expressed . as there
were members. The bill that finally
got out of committee was a compro
mise. Instead of giving a "dry" state
the right to hold up . shipment of
liquor at the state border, as desired
by the prohibition forces. It merely
prevent a railroad , from acting as
agent for the consignor, and requires
the full name and address of both
consignor and consignee to be In
scribed on the package.

terior of Henry Harrison, a vaudeville
performer, who makes a specialty of
eating glass and hardware. He has
been in the business for 20 year and
estimates that he has eaten a ton of
hardware, and Is at a loss to under
stand why the pieces removed by the
surgeon should have been Indigestible.
