will engage In surgical work in one

der, Is the new cashier of the Pow
der Valley bank at Norjth Powder.
This Institution was organized after
the bankruptcy of the Farmers
Merchants State bank at that place.
Mrs. Amanda Bodln, of New York,
arrived In the city this morning and
will be the guest of Mr. and Mrs. J.
A. Fraker. - Mrs. Budln and Mrs.
Praker were schoolmates In the Em
pire state. Mrs. Bodine has been
making a tour of the west.
This morning about SO adults and
as many young people left for Baker
City to attend the dedication services
which take place there today. The
great cathedral which Is to be dedi
cated, Is the finest edifice between
Portland and Salt Lake.

to southern California and Nevada

On account of our Joining in the
special union meetings, we will have
only Sunday morning preaching, April
12 and 19, and no preaching April 26,
May 3 and 10. There will be no break
In fhe Bible school, but It will be held
on time each Sunday. It Is necessary
for us to do some special work which
cannot well be postponed, hence all
members are earnestly requested to be
present from 10 to 12 next Sunday,
and April 19. Matters of great Inter
est will be presented next Sunday at
11 a. m. Each partner In the work
should be present. Months ago we I
Invited the Northeastern Oregon Mis
sionary convention to meet with us.
The executive committee set May 5
to 7 as the time. I have been unable
to arrange another date as the pro
gram was prepared and speakers en
gaged before we joined the union
work. We shall gladly unite in the
great campaign for soul-saving and
while our convention will no doubt
receive less attention because of the
meetings, wo Rhall blame no one. 1
explained the situation to the other
ministers when I agreed to enter the
union meetings, and this is now pub
lished, that no one may misunderstand
us. We stand for a great rally for
souls that will mean great things for
