It appears that between 76 and 100
La Grande Catholic will visit Baker
City tomorrow to attend the dedica
tion of the splendid new cathedral at
that place. There will be no special
train, but an extra coach will be at
tached to No. tomorrow morning,
and In It will ride all or the La
Qrande delegation. , The exercises
it -Baker are drawing visitors from
.hree states, and Catholics of eastern
Oregon will be there tn great num
bers. The fare Is one and a third, on
the certificate plan.
The services of dedication at St
Francis cathedral will take ' place
Thursday morning. Rt. Rev, Bishop
C. J. O'Reilly will conduct the im
pressive ceremonies of. the dedication,
ahlch will begin about 10 o'clock. At
'.hese services, according to the ritual
of the Catholic church, the. church
should . be empty, until after It has

the worshl pof God. .
The clergy will assemble and re
cite certain prayers, from the psalms
of Holy Scripture, then pass around
-he outside of the church, then enter
he church, saying the prescribed
prayers. After these services, the slg

pontifical mass be sung about half
past ten. A cordial Invitation to the

During the mass, the Most Rev.
Archbishop Christie will deliver the
