Next Wednesday night the city
council will met and among other
matters to be acted upon will be the
selection of the appointive officers of
the city. In the meantime, there Is
more or less 'speculation as to where
the plums may fall. It Is understood
that most of the positions are slated
"subject to change."
The candidates throughout the state
are all strong believers In Hicks'
weather predictions and they are all
more or less alarmed about the pre
dieted storm center that will pre
vail, especially in Oregon, on April
17, and not a few are afraid It will
be followed by a biting frost.
