New Steel Bridge at Elgin Please the
Public Generally.
The new bridge spanning the
Grande Ronde rlver'on the road lead
ing out of this city to the Clerks creek
and Indian creek sections was com
pleted last week and turned over to
the country court 4

council gave the bridge a thorough In
spection, and accepted the structure

Intendent Campbell Is at present over
seeing the work of building the ap
proaches and as soon as that Is com
pleted the bridge will be ready for

say that the total cost of the structure
completed will be $5000.
