Grandstand to Have Nino Tier
Seats and Bo 165 Foot Long.
The plan for the Athletic park have
been drafted and accepted. The grand
stand is to be 165 feet long and will
have nine rows of seats. The main
entrance will lead directly to the end
of the grandstand. The bleechers
will be reached by side entrances
The promoters are today negotiating
with the lumbermen to secure the
material. It is thought the lumber
will be brought bn the ground early
next week.
With a grandstand of this capacity,
the seating accommodations bleach
ers and grandstand combined will be
something over 1200.

The delayed shipment of belting for
the city pumping plant ha arrived
As soon as the Cove electric plant Is
put In operation the city water supply
In La Grande will be pumped to the
reservoir by the new plant, which Is to
be electrically operated. The machin
ery Is In place and everything awaits
the electric current which will oper
ate the new motor. The steam pump
now In use will be discarded as soon
aa the electrical apparatus la lh work
ing order.
