AIIIC THE
CITY C
Tonight tells the story whether or
not the La Orande Commercial club
will pass out of history or will con
tinue to do business at the same old
stand. If the business men and prop
erty owner of this city consider that
such an Institution Is of advantage
to this city and county, a sufficient
number will turn out and assist in
the reorganization, there Is no 'queg
tion but what the club can be made
to perform the functions that are ex
pected of such organizations, but if
this support is not forthcoming the
club cannot exist.
La Orande investors will not want
for the lack of opportunity to pur
chase automobiles this year. It Is re
ported that two manufacturers will
each ship a carload of machines to
this city with demonstrators. The
reason La Orande has been selected as
the objective point Is that this Is
natural shipping point for a large
territory. La Orande will at no dis
tant day be the distributing point for
many wholesale lines.
Commencing next Monday our pub
lie school will not dismiss In the af
ternoon until 4 -o'clock. During the
winter months it has been the custom
for several years to dismiss at 1:30.
Mr. U'Ren has commences his

of United States senator.. He has not
