Mr. Rlmbol was born at Kun S lr.

deuth he a nearly 80 years of one.
In the early sixties Mr. Rlmbol
enme to Baker county and located at
Auburn. He engaged In placer min
ing. Later he went to Sampler, when
the placer diggings were first discov
ered there, and for nearly a Quarter
of a century worked in the mines with
fulr success, lie owned the townslte
of Sumpter with his partner Joseph
Young, deceased, gold It and lived to
see the town grow to a prosperous
mining camp. A few years ago he
came to Baker City and made this
his home up to the time of his death.
Mr. Rlmbol was most respected of
men, having all the chief attractions
that go to make the salt of the earth
charity, loyalty and fidelity. His
relatives reside In their native town
In France. He was a member of Ba
ker City lodge No. 25, I. O. O. F.
Mr. Rlmbnl's funeral is to take
place at Sumpter. Baker Democrat.
