from Welser, have purchased the

The Brotherhood of St. Paul met
lust evening at the M. E. church par
sonage and an evening of real enjoy
ment was spent. "Why Men Do Not

bers are to Join at the next meeting.
Assistant Superintendent D. W.

corps of clerical assistants, arrived

morning. Mr. Campbell has spent

Two arraignments were made In
circuit court this afternoon. T. Fea-
therson, charged with larceny from a
dwelling.' pleaded not glillty. The
same plea came from Charles Harris,
accused with asBault and battery.
Plxler, the alleged horse thief. Is to
be arraigned late this evening.
Fate Intervened last night and de
mollnhed dreams entertained by The
Observer. Our readers were promised
the regulation size paper tonight, but
the cold snap snapped the water pipes
and It was nearly noon before heat in
sufficient quantities had been applied
to the dead water pipes to cause a
free flow. The linotype Is now oper
ated by a water motor and several
valuable hours were lost this morn
ing; consequently, only a four-page
edition this evening. Our readers are
promised full service Just as quickly
as Conditions can be adjusted to cope
with a light famjne, limited water
supply and frozen water pipes.
