W. O. Preston, one of the pioneers
of the Inland empire, who Is stopping
at Hot Lake, Is spending the day in
La Grande. Mr. Preston many years
ago embarked In the flouring mill
business and for many years conduct
ed one of the largest mills in eastern
Washington, at Waltsburg, a mill with
a capacity of 450 barrels per day.
Later he built the mill at Athena, Ore
gon, with a capacity of 550 barrels.
He has made a financial success of
