The dog poisoner has been abroad
at Union during the past week, and
quite a number of canines, some valu

beyond. Dog owners are naturally

William Reavls of Hood River, was
In Union Thursday with petitions for
county division. After placing his pe
tition In good hands Mr. Reavls went
to Cove on the afternoon ' train and
left at night for Baker City.
Klmer Wright arrived home Sunday
from eastern Kansas, where he suc
ceeded In disponing of all the apples
he had shipped there, Elmer snys
there is a good market for apples If
they can be bought at what they are
worth. .

creek Wednesday. On Tuesday he
shipped a carload of baled hay from
the Rlnehart spur to Portland parties.
The hay was purchased from A. R.
mil, a well known rancher of the
Willow creek section. '

thorne were down from Wade A Rob
inson's mill Saturda: evening. Log
ging operations ar oelng carried on
at the mill with good success and at
the present time 800,000 feet of logs
have been hauled to the yards.
