. Falling Intd a little pool near his
home on UKay creek late yesterday
afternoon the little son of Levi El
drige was drowned. The little fel
low's name was Forrest and he was
but 3 years old. During the afternoon

search was commenced. Within" a

found In the pool where he had fallen
but a little wldje before.
When the boy was found his body
was cold In death, but In hopes- of
reviving him Dr. Parker was sum
moned from Pilot RocTc. However,
nothing could be done for him.
The water Into which the little boy
fell wan formed by backwater from a
branch of McKay creek near the El
drldge place. The place Is located
about 11 miles from Pilot Itock.
The funeral of the little fellow will
be held Saturday morning and the In
terment will be In OIney cemetery.
The funeral will be directed by M. A.
Kailer and Rev. Hayes of Klickitat
county, Wash., will conduct the serv
