We tand and atare aa we aee th
glaring headline and our thoufhta
quickly wander back to the dayi of
yore days when the sifted authoreaa,
Harriett fleecher Stowe, flint favored
Us with her Immortal work. The
young; the old, the gray, the careless,
all at different times have heard or
aeen the beautiful play depleted on
the stage, or have perused the pages
of the book. The heart Interest Is so
Intense that a magnetic Influence
seems to assert Itself at times and
draw us again within thu portals of
the playhouse to witness those thrill
ing acenes of ante-bellum days, and
we can safely prophesy that Its mem
ory and action will linger with us, as
it has done with past generations, af
fording amusement, pleasure, pathos
and instruction for young ami old
alike, A grand and stupendous pro

given by fctetson s big double com

parade Is, without doubt, the largest

Manager Charles 1. Yale has an
nounced for the coming season, the
20th edition of that phenomenal piece
of theatrical property, "The Devil's
Auction," surnamed "Everlasting,
Vancouver, B. C, to Winnipeg, Mani
toba; the middle states to Canada; the
maritime provinces. Including Halifax
and St. John, to Cape Breton, finally
ending with a complete tour of New
England and to ' financial receipts
that have become the talk of the the
atrical world.
Notwithstanding the yearly opposi
tion of the many new musical come
dies and spectacles, Imported and
otherwise,' the "Devil's Auction" has
gone on In the even tenor of its way,
having established apparently a uni
versal clientele who can be depended
upon to "wait for te big show,' and
reward It yearly with remunerative
receipts.
As some one, has aptly remarked,

Stimulation Without Irritation.
Oriso Laxative Fruit Syrup is a new
laxative syrup combined with the deli
cious flavor of fruits, and is very pleas
ant to take. It will not gripe or sicken.
It is much more pleasant and effective
than Pills, Tablets and Saline WaterB,
as it does not derange the Stomach, or
irritate the Kidneys, Liver or Bowels.
Constipation.
Oarao Laxative Fruit Syrup will posi
tively care chronic constipation as it re
stores the natural action of the intestinal
tract. Ordinary cathartics may give tem
porary reliet but the stomach is upset
and the bowels are irritated without any
permanent benefit having been derived
The condit ion of the putient remains un
changed. The Stomach, Liver and Bowels
have not been stimulated and in a few
days a stronger purgative may have to be
taken. This is why. Pills and Aperient
Waters never give permanent relief.
Their violent action results in an unnat
ural movement of the bowels and it is nec
essary to keep taking them indefinitely.
Why ORINO Is different.
Oriho Laxative Fruit syrup is the only
preparation that really acts upon all
of the digestive organs. Other prepar
ations act upon the lower bowel only and
do not touch the Liver. It can very read
ily be seen that a preparation that doe8
uv bv-u uyuu an 01 me digestive organ8
can not cure Chronic Oonstipation.Torpid
Liver, Indigestion, Sour Stomach, etc
For Biliousness and SIcK
Headache.
Take Oriho Laxative Fruit Syrup. It
sweeteistthe stomach, aids digestion and
acts aa a gentle stimulant on the liver and
bowels without Irritating these organa. .
Clears the Complexion. '
Oriho Laxative Fruit Syrup stimulates
the liver and thoroughly cleanses the
system and clears the complexion of
pimples and blotches. It is the best lax
ative for women and children as it it
taild and pleasant, and does not gripe of
sicken. Refuse substitute.
