POTATO MARKET.
Mriis Improving Wiluimetto Valley
Product Are Moving Toward Cali
fornia. There are some signs of Improve
ment In the potato market. Ounlde
buyers are perating quite freely In
the Willamette valley, and the crop
of the state is going out fast. The
fine quality of Oregon's potatoes this
year must soon begin to attract atten
tion In California and the southwest,
and the great crop of river potatoes
in California must be getting a good
deal reduced by this time." Salinas
Burbanks are quoted In San Francisco
at $1.50 to $1.60 per cental; Oregon
Rurbanks at 1 to $1.25, and River
potatoes at 60 to 85 cents. In the
Willamette valley buyers are paying
from 50 to 70 cents per 100 pounds.
