has just completed a campaign in British
Columbia and is now working in the
Western States. He is an able man.

The case of Van Houton & Messenger,
of Union against the American Insurance
Company, where the plaintiffs are bring
ing suit to recover $1000.00 alleged to
be due for losses sustained by a fire, is
.being tried toaay.
The loss was sustained when the plan
ning mill in Union burned down. It i
alleged that the company had notified
the agent at Unioi to cancell the policy
on the risk, but that the actual cancella
tion had not been done before the fir
occurred, r ' '
