By Dr. Pont the eye tpeciali'tt.
Glancing over the evening Observer I
was amused at the article inserted by 0.
M. Heacock, claiming to know a certain
traveling optician who it now in La

Oregon last April 1 1. 1906, who he taid
failed to pass the state Board and who
went before the state Board of Optome
try again thit year January 19th and
was successful in passing, was now in
town, and many other things which I
hope none failed to read. However as 1
do not class mvsalf with rh nrJim,.

was aiming his arrow at me, and as I am
the only traveling specialist here, I feel it
my duty to answer this insertion, in which

Dr. Pons is just from the East where , eock tn9 Jeweler Md 0pt;cian ev(m
knew tr.ere was such a man in. existence
until I came to town thit time. I take it
a granted that I am the one he refers
to, althono names were mentioned, as I
just took tne examination and passed
with h;gh honors and I doubt at to
w miner ne went oerore the examining

find out all the names who took the ex
amination and those who got them with
out taking the Optical examination and
will have them in a day or to and then I
will publish them to you will all know.
I hope all my patients will read thit
and any additional ad which may appear
in the paper, altho I am doing lota of
business and shall try and not do all the
work t I believe in getting my thare
and no more, and do not want to take

HOW TO AVOID PNEUMONIA
We have never heard of a single in.
stance of a cold resulting in pneumonia or
other lung trooble when Foley's Honey
ar.d Tar has been taken. It notonly stops
the cough but heals and strengthens the
lungs. Ask for Foley's Honey and Tar
and refuse any substitute offered. Dr. C.
J. Bishop of Agnew, Mich., writes: "I
tnve used Foley's Honey and Tar in three
very severe cases of pneumonia witn good
results in every case."
