of the Grocers' Association which was
organized at Portland this week. The
Grocers of Ooaon nathered in the
Metrot'dis and funned an organization
! similar to such as other states of the
' Union already luve. the ohject of which
! is self evidont. for in this day an age, or
ganization is the sioan. The La Grande
Groctrs' Association, winch has not been
a verv active organization of late, thru
the instrumentalities of Messers McKen
non and Polack, has been accepted as a
member of the slate body.
The local grocers will hold a meeti.ig

to fill the vacancy causd by the re
tirement, of E Romig frim the grocery
business. The h-'dy will in other ways

The session at Portland lasted two
days and ended with an elaborate ban
