"What an American saw at the first bat
tle of the Rusio-Japanese war" were

Bishop Moore for four years was head
of the Methodist foreign missionary work
in China. Japan, Korea, spending six
months of each year in China, four months
in Japan and two months in Korea. He
was in China at the time of 'the Boxer
uprising and paid a glowing tribute to the
faithfulness of the Ch.nese who had been
converted to the Christian religion during
that trying period.
The first part of the lecture was devot
ed to the peoples within his iurisrfir.ii
especially interesting from the fact his
long resuence thoro made him perfectly
familiar with the subject. The descriptkn
