BISHOP MOORE ARRIVES
Bishop D. H. Moore arrived in this city
this morning from Baker City where he
spent Sunday. A committee of Metho
dists met him at the train and escorted
him to the George L. Cleaver home where
the bishop was entertained until the hour
for the publ ic reception at the J. W.
Scnber home.
Mr. and Mrs. Claude Mackey returned
this morning from Albany, where they
visited friends a few weeks.

Last night was the coldest night this
winter, according to' Weather Oaserver
W. A. Worstell. In November the ther
mometer dropped' to five ebove but last
nijht the mercury went to 2 above. Sat
urday afternoon at four o'clock the gov
ernment instrument registered 32 degrees
and at six-thirty the same evening it was
down to 12 degrees, a drop of twenty
degrees. The maximum drop Saturday
night w)s 3 degrees.' Yesterday, the
coldest was ! degrees,1 the warmest. 14.
With the approach of night the thermom
eter again began its descant and 'some
lims durng the night reached 2 JegMJS

at five degrees.
