ELKS TO BURD nOMC
A modern four-story struotut, is not
only a possibility for La arand. out a
practical csrtainity. Th Elks of this
city ar th promoter, and should their
preeent plan culminate, which they likely
will, La Qrand will soon hav a building
that will b a credit to it Th local lodg
of Elks .has appointed committee to
prepare final plana, purchased a ait and
by spring hav a contractor at work. Th
Elk lodg is composed many of LajQrand'
leading businee mn and th report that
they will rct a building is no idles rumor
nor will th building be in a mediocre clae
Unperfacted plans suggest that th build
ing b four stories high, two floor of
which will b th lodge home for th Elk
and the remainder for offlc room. , La
rand is in need of just such a struct
ure.
The committee which waa aDcointed to
manage (he finarcial end of th project
are: J. W. Scriber, T. J. Scroggln and
Julius Roeech. , v
The question has been agitated for sev
eral yeare but it remained for last week
to see th final impetus administered.
