A very quiet but nevtrtheless pretty
wedding, was solemnized last evening at
six-thirty o'c'ock in the Engineer and Mrs.
Lute Ferguson home, when Miss Eliza
beth C. Ferguson was united in marriage
to Homer V. Denney by Rev. Father
Wriyte, of the Catholic church.
At the appointed hour, the bride, dress
ed in a beautiful white cashimere gown,
joined the groom in the alcove of the par
lor where the bridal attendants were in
waiting. With the groom's mother, Mrs.
Susan Denney. and the bndo's father," L.
E. Ferguson, as a bridesmaid and best
man respectfully. Rev. Fath8r Whyte per
formed the nuptials in an impressive
manner, using the ring ce-emony.
The bride is the eldest daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. L. E. Ferjuson and has resided
in this city with her parents for reveral
years. During that time she has win
many friends by her genial and kindly
disposition; while the . bride '' has been
winning friends, the groom too, has won
high ' esteem from his . friends, ' by a
traightforward and conscientious life.
He is a member of the Brotherhood of
Locomotive Firemen and those in posi
tion to know, predict that it will not be
long before Homer will be promoted to
tne seat behind the throttle.
After a sumptuous weuuiii upper.
about which were seated the bride and
groom, the bride's immediate family and
the groom's immediate family, Mr. and
Mrs. Denney boarded the evening train
for Portland where they will spend a
week returning to this city to be at home
about the first of the new year.
