Dec. 1 8Prince Rupert the new city which the grand Trunk Pacific Railway, has built at its western terminus on Kaien Island was formerly opened today. The city was named Prince Rupert after a cousin of Kino Charles II of England who was first governor of the Hudson Bay ComDanv. It has a commanding position, splendid harbor and is close to the famous Indian village of Metlakhatla known on the coasl as the "Holy City". Right behind the City Hays Mountain rises to a height or 3000 feet and the spacious harbor is studded with minute stands. J SUCCESS Prof. Louis Williams entertained alarje audience in Coulw! Char-h ' evening. His leaure on "Wonders of Electricity ' was illustrated by a large nunrber ot ex periments )h!ch he performed as he talked. These experiments were so varied and to the uninitiated so wonderful that the audience was delightfully intereiteJ throughout. Not only entertainment but instruction was imparted. Dec 18-President Butler of Columbia University today completed arrangements for sending 1,000 Ameri cans Teachers to Engla"d to return the visit of the English teachers to America.
