over the official stamp of various nation
are written .many hieroglyphics which
would no doubt be interesting cou1d,they
be deciphered. All the leading cities pf
India have stamped- the envelope, making
it look mors like a stamp pad than an
envelope.
Yesterday morning the letter' came
back to the sender and is now :n the hands
of Jess Paul, who naturally values it
highly as a relic.

Beet growers of the Grande Rortde
valley will have a market for their crops
next year, accordTg to announcements
made by the Amalgate Sugar Company,
yesterday. The company has notified all
growers that there will be the usual
market next year, in fact there will be
an increased demano.
The management is desirous of increas
ing the present acreage as mubh as pos
sible and will buy ail tnat can be grown.
There was some question that there
would not be a mirxet for the sugar beet
in th.s valley next year, hut ail fear from
