Ohio State prison has been discontinued,
for the reason that there are no printers
in the institution at the present time.

tution to start a clearing house, enough
lawyers to take care of all the business
the frenzied financiers can bring them
enough doctors to keep all the prisoners
in good health, plenty of preachers to give
them spiritual advice, but they must de
pend on the outside papers to give them
newt. Exchange.
Congress meets next Monday. Prac
tically all of the senators and congress
men are already on the ground, ready for
business. The President's mesage, this
session, will be awaited with interest as
he will undoubtedly outline the legislation
that will receive the greatest attention of
this session. On arid after March 4, next
Oregon will once mora have her quota
of representation. Congressmen, Ellis
of this district and Hawley of the first
distaict will take their seats and in Jan
uary the legislature will give Mr. Bourne
his certificate of election.
