La Grande for years has enjoyed the
largest payroll rf any of the Eastern
Oregon towns and the year 1907 will
show a great over present conditions. We
have room for more and it should be our
patriotic duty to see that at least one
large payroll is added each year. We
can do it if we all pull together with that
ohject in view. Situated in the center of
a large wool producing section there is
no reason why a large woolen mill should
not be established in this city, that would
give employment to fifty or more people
