night, is in the city today.
He is accompanied by "Strongheart"
a Boston terrier that has medals galor.
as is exhibited in the accompanying cut.
"Stronghea r t" mad. his initial appearance
at the interstate fair where he captured
the gold medal for his class. Since then
he has never ceased to win medals where
ver he has been placed on exhibition.
It is a most impressive little dog. In
addition to a coppy body, faultless con
formation, a screw tail, beautiful eyes
short and wide muzzle, his front is very
fine. His head is a study, has character
and shows it in every movement.
Bes des being a prize winner he is an
actor of no mean ability.
He appears on the stage as "Danger"
in the play tonight.
Mr. Elmore called at the Observer
office this morning with "Strongheart''
at his heels. While here the dog made
the acquaintance of the force. He certain
ly is a beauty.

WATER IS SCARCE.
Because of the very long dry. spell in
eastern Oregon and the heavy traffic on
the O. R. & N.. the railroad tank at
Kamela is now dry and that mountain
village is threatened with a water famine.
Almost the entire town is supplied
from the railroad tank and this tank is
supplied from a well on the summit of the
mountain. Owing to the fact that there
hs been but little rain this fall the well
is almost dry and orders have been is
sued to all trainmen to not take water
there in passing over the mountain.
The O. R. Si N. company is .making an
effort to purchase a tract of land at
Kamela belonging to Mrs. E. Swauger,
and if the purchase is made a deeD well
will be sur.k there and an adequate water
supply secured.

LIVER COMPLAINT
In most varieties of liver trouble the
Osteopath accomplishes much for th
patient. Indeed he frequently finds
"lesions" (structural misadjustments)
affecting the liver when it has not been
suspected that the organ was at fault at
all. Finding the "lesion," or cause, is
surely a chief part in the cure of any
disease. Re-adjustment follows and the
liver, again receiving, uninterrupted, its
normal blood circulat' on and normal quota
o'" nerve impulses, does better at once.
Rtsu'ts are hastened, too, by direct
mechanical stimulation over the liver.
While Osteopathy does not claim by any
means to cure all cases of liver trouble,
t dees cure a great many and may cer
ta nly be said to be the most rational,
safest, ar.d surest treatment which th
i sjfferer can adopt.
