BEACB & BOWERS' MINSTRELS
A large audience greeted the old time
favorites. Beach & Bowers' ministrels af.
the Hefferlin last night Ministrels shows
seem to have found what Ponce de Leon
failed to findthe spring of eternal youth.
Livingston people seem to take as much
pleasure in the old time minstrel humorist
the musical novelties, the contortionis ts,
etc., as their grandfathers took years
ago.
The Beach St Bowers show has a splen
did band and some especially clever so
loists. The musical part of the show in
well up to standard. John Higgins is an
especially funny end man. ' Roswell J.
Wright is surely phenomenal as a male
soprano. Harry Perrili basso has the
greatest range of voice ever shown in
Livingston. He is a basso, a baritone
and a tenor, all in one. All jn the show
was as good a one as is now traveling in
minstrelsy and is deserving of a good
patronage. Livingston (Montana) Post

This is the fourth feason ofuninterrupt-
ed success of that powerful play "The
Convict's Daughter," which will appear
at Steward's opera house Monday
October 5.
Success always leads to competition,
and competition always benefits the
public. Several seasons ago lovers of
SCAP.S
melodrama had a chance to judge of the
merits of "The Convict's Daughter." It
was something they had been waiting for
and eagerly sought. The theatres were
not large enough to hold them, and its
great drawing powers heralded its repu
tation everywhere. I he public came,

saw and went away delighted. They
had seen a very meritorious performance,
and a grand dramatic story cleverly
written by an American author, and act
ed by a capable company.
The beautiful story of "The Convict's
Daughter" went straight to the heart and
forced itself upon their memory such as
no other play had ever done. The open
ing act. Col. Gould's home, has such an
atmosphere of love and sunshine in it that
it crept over the footlights and nestled
among the audience. In fact, the scene
was so pretty and realistic they did no t
see the approaching clouds that were
slowly but surely shutting out the pretty
plctilre.
There is only one way to appreciate
this beautiful and startling melodrama-
come and see it. It is especially written
for the family and presents the drama
true to life in a great many honsebolds.
