GRAND THEATER-Beach & Bowers,
Minstrels.
The large audience which assembled at
the Grand theater to witness the enter
tainment given by Beach & Bowers'
minstrels, Thursday night again empha
sized that which is a notable characteris
tic of Salt Lake theater goers, that they
will patronize most generously a merit
orious performance. i he show was a
pleasing one thruout. The singing was
above the average, while the comedy
part was excruciatingly .funny.
The Beach St Bowers minstrels com
prise an aggregation cash one of whom is
an artist within himself. Such artists
as George L. Wade, James Stuart, Rob
ert Tipple and others are fun-makers and
pleasing entertainers of the highest order,
Their performance last night was of that
entertaining character the S. R. 0. sign
will be in evidence the balance of their
short season at the Grand.
Beach and Bowers come direct from
New York, and is one of the oldest and
best all-white minstrel shows now trav
eling in this country. The old gags which
usuelly constitute the stock in trade of
mediocre minstrel companies have been
wissly eliminated, and people go away
with the pleasing satisfaction that they
have witnessed something entirely new,
neat and clever.
Beach and Bowers minstrels at the
Grand the balance of the week, including
Saturday matinee. Salt Lake Tribune.
