The international crga-'::atio of Cnambers of Commerce, which has its heado,uarters at Brussels, is an important body, consisting of representative delegates eppoi ited by Chambers of Commerce in ail parts of the world. Several large Amsrican cites are represented in the organization. Be sides Chambers of Commerce several of the most important commercial organiza tions of tho country, iike the Southern Cotton Assoc'ation and the Interstate Cotton Seed Crusners' Association are represented by delegates at the conven tion. The congress will oniy iast two days. The object of the organ:zation and of these conference is to establish recip rocal relations between the merchants cf different countries and a better under standing of the needs and the character of the business interests in various parts of the world. Mi) U GRANDE CHURCtifS Tomorrow night, If present arrange ments materialize, the church census of La Grande will be definitely known. The churches of the city have united to enact this work and beginning with tomorrow morning promptly at eight thirty Sunday school workers of the various churches of this city will begin a systmatic canvass of the city to secure a Sunday school census. At that hour, representatives from the Presbyterian, Christain, Episcopal, Bap tist and Methodist churches will assemble at the Central chjrch and after being assigned to districts of the city will make a house to house canvass, procuring facts and figures that will make up the census report. Every residence in the city will be visited, and the inmates questioned as to what denmoiation they belong, how many children there are. and whether or not they attend any Sunday school, if not, why rot, if the parents attend any church or Sunday school and if so. which demon ination. Wnen all the districts have been covered with, these questions, and the returns fr:m each enumerator footed up the churches will have in their possession much. valuable information.
